Assets Detail Section - Equipment Lease Workspace
The Assets detail section is used to create and link equipment to an equipment lease. Assets which appear in the Assets detail section can be modified in the Equipment Manager workspace.
To perform actions in this detail section, you need to be able to see the Details pane. Click the List View, Summary View, and Map View buttons to toggle different content views. For more information about different content views, see the Content Views section of the Common Attributes of Workspaces page.
Attach Equipment
To attach an existing equipment record to an equipment lease:

Open the Equipment Lease workspace.

Select the equipment lease to which you want to link an equipment record.
Read the Filters page and the Collections section of the Common Attributes of Workspaces page to learn how to filter the records in your workspace.

Select the Assets detail section from the Detail Section menu.

Click the Attach Equipment button in the toolbar on the right side of the Details pane.
The Attach Equipment window opens.

Enter the equipment ID of the equipment in the Asset type-ahead field.

Choose between two options:

Click the Save button.
The Attach Equipment window closes. Your equipment appears in the Assets detail section.

Click the drop-down arrow next to the Save button and click Save & New from the menu that appears.
The equipment is added and cleared from view. Repeat steps 5-6 until all equipment is linked.

Create Equipment
To create equipment from the Assets detail section:

Open the Equipment Lease workspace.

Select the equipment lease to which you want to add a new piece of equipment.
Read the Filters page and the Collections section of the Common Attributes of Workspaces page to learn how to filter the records in your workspace.

Select the Assets detail section from the Detail Section menu.

Click the Create Equipment button in the toolbar on the right side of the Details pane.
The Equipment Manager workspace opens in a new tab. The Create New Equipment page opens.

Follow the Create Equipment procedures on the Equipment Manager Workspace page.

Once you have finished creating the equipment, return to your equipment lease.
The new equipment appears in the Assets detail section.
Remove Equipment
To remove equipment from the Assets detail section:

Open the Equipment Lease workspace.

Select the equipment lease whose equipment you want to remove.

Select the Assets detail section from the Detail Section menu.

Select the equipment you want to remove.

Click the Remove Equipment button in the toolbar on the right side of the Details pane.
A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

Click the OK button.
The dialog box closes. The equipment is removed from the Assets detail section.
Clone Equipment
To clone a piece of equipment from the Assets detail section:

Open the Equipment Lease workspace.

Select the equipment lease whose equipment you want to clone.
Read the Filters page and the Collections section of the Common Attributes of Workspaces page to learn how to filter the records in your workspace.

Select the Assets detail section from the Detail Section menu.

Select the equipment you want to clone.

Click the Clone Equipment button in the toolbar on the right side of the Details pane.
The Equipment Manager workspace opens in a new tab. The Create New Equipment page opens. The data from the equipment you are cloning is populated in the fields on the page.

Make any necessary changes to the equipment data.

Click the Save button.
The Create New Equipment page collapses. The new equipment appears as selected in the Equipment Manager workspace.

Once you have finished creating the equipment, return to your equipment lease.
The new equipment appears in the Assets detail section.
